The Zima UV Case uses a dual-action system, combining both UVC and UVA light. This guarantees an exceptionally thorough and effective sanitisation process. UVC light, with its shorter, more energetic wavelength, is renowned for its germicidal properties. It works by penetrating the cell walls of bacteria and viruses, destroying their genetic material and effectively neutralising them. The UVA light has a longer wavelength, which not only ensures any potential surviving microorganisms are effectively dealt with but also assists in removing odours. The Dental Pod is superb, really. I'd give it 6* if I could. From my first use I was blown away by how bright and clean the machine bought up my retainers. They were actually better than the day I collected them from my dentist. Previously I'd spent a lot of time and effort scrubbing away at my retainers with a toothbrush. This Dental Pod makes cleaning my vivera retainer trays so easy. I used to scrub them with a toothbrush, but they never looked completely clean. Big difference with the dental pod and adding the cleaning tablet. They feel so clean and fresh after.
It is a great product but the advertising is misleading. The video show the unit as it is working with charged batteries as you don’t see the electrical cord. It doesn’t mention that you should use tablets . We purchased it because we are travelling and obviously having to plus it in is note the best approach. We are leaving for Europe and we did ask it was safe to use it with an adaptor but we were told that they didn’t know!! Let’s hope it will not blow up .

It’s super easy in the morning while I drink my coffee I pop my Invisalign in my Zima with a cleaning tab and it’s super fresh for the day I’ll do it before bed too! Super easy to use and it does make a difference my first Invisalign I didn’t use the Zima and it had a yellowish tint and my second one did not and I did use the Zima

This is my second ultrasonic cleaner for my retainers. The first was an inexpensive model. It lasted about a year and was a little bulkier and made more noise. I love the Zina I bought. Takes up less space and I like that lid comes off for drying purposes. Worth the money.

After using this for a month, i’m beyond pleased! before the zima pod, i was using a cleaning tablet in a cup of water. not nearly as effective. even with just water, this ultrasonic cleaner gets my invisalign trays really really clean. it’s satisfying seeing what it picked up off of my trays when i open the lid after the cycle is over! i recommend this to everyone now. seriously worth the money.
