The device’s dual cleaning system means that you can choose from standard ultrasonic cleaning or the more powerful and intense Max Clean mode. Max Clean mode runs for 15 minutes, oscillating between high pressure, intense ultrasonic bursts, and consistent ultrasonic cleaning waves. I’ve had the Zima Dental Pod Pro for about a month now and am really pleased with it. I especially love that the tank isn’t attached to the base so you can easily fill it up, plus the lid comes fully off, making it very easy to ensure it’s dry inside before putting the lid back on. I had previously used another brand and the lid (which was attached to the unit) wouldn’t stay up on its own so it had to be almost propped up to dry it out after it was emptied. What I’m not 100% convinced about is why you can’t put the dental appliance in when the cleaning tablet is dissolving, and why it says to submerge the dental appliance “with no trapped air bubbles”. You’re putting your appliance into liquid so I’m really not clear on how air bubbles can be “trapped”!! And it’s pretty easy to place the appliance beside the tablet, then fill it with water….which seems quite a reasonable way to “prevent air bubbles from being trapped”….yes?! Despite that little mystery regarding the tablets, I’m very happy I purchased the upgraded model.

I usually didn’t clean my night guard and retainer every day. This is the first time I have ever had purchased or used a cleaning pod. My dentist didn’t recommend a cleaning machine. In the past, I purchased retainer tablets from Amazon and used a glass measuring cup for cleaning. Now that I have Zima Dental Pod and soaking tablets, I am cleaning my guard and retainer everyday. They are as bright as when I first got them from my dentist, smell great too.

The Dental Pod is superb, really. I'd give it 6* if I could. From my first use I was blown away by how bright and clean the machine bought up my retainers. They were actually better than the day I collected them from my dentist. Previously I'd spent a lot of time and effort scrubbing away at my retainers with a toothbrush. They were never really that clean feeling, but I couldn't see an alternative. I'm so glad I came across Zima on my Instagram feed. I thought the Dental Pod seemed innovative but was concerned that it might be something of a gimmick. Well...it was worth a try. The upshot? This Dental Pod makes cleaning my vivera retainer trays so easy. I used to scrub them with a toothbrush, but they never looked completely clean. Big difference with the dental pod and adding the cleaning tablet. They feel so clean and fresh after.
It is a great product but the advertising is misleading. The video show the unit as it is working with charged batteries as you don’t see the electrical cord. It doesn’t mention that you should use tablets . We purchased it because we are travelling and obviously having to plus it in is note the best approach. We are leaving for Europe and we did ask it was safe to use it with an adaptor but we were told that they didn’t know!! Let’s hope it will not blow up .

It’s super easy in the morning while I drink my coffee I pop my Invisalign in my Zima with a cleaning tab and it’s super fresh for the day I’ll do it before bed too! Super easy to use and it does make a difference my first Invisalign I didn’t use the Zima and it had a yellowish tint and my second one did not and I did use the Zima

This is my second ultrasonic cleaner for my retainers. The first was an inexpensive model. It lasted about a year and was a little bulkier and made more noise. I love the Zina I bought. Takes up less space and I like that lid comes off for drying purposes. Worth the money.
