The Dental pod was designed, tested and engineered specifically to clean oral appliances, taking meticulous care to prevent any of the real dangers of damage. In contrast, a jewellery cleaner is designed for cleaning jewellery and has considered none of the risks to oral appliance patients.

While sterilising tablets can kill bacteria and other germs, they may not be effective at removing plaque and other debris from your appliance. It's important to clean your dental appliance thoroughly to remove any accumulated bacteria and debris, which can cause bad breath and other oral health issues.

The Dental pod effectively cleans aligners. It’s quick and convenient and you don’t need to worry about damaging your aligners. I recommend that you regularly use the Dental pod to clean your aligners and eventually your retainer once your treatment has concluded.

Patients with restricted hand and finger movement may experience difficulty with mechanical cleaning methods and may not be able to clean their oral appliance while holding a brush at the same time.

During the rigorous design process of the Dental pod, prototypes including UV lights were tested. However, it was decided that UV would not be included in the Dental pod for the following 3 reasons.
